We are seeking a talented Senior EHS Specialist to join the MQ-28 team to be based at Wellcamp, near Toowoomba in QLD. The Senior EHS Specialist is responsible for developing, planning, implementing and assessing coordinating environmental health and safety programs and processes for the new MQ-28 manufacturing facility being constructed at Wellcamp, to ensure regulatory compliance and the maintenance of a safe and healthy work environment. Leveraging WHS processes, tools and data and communities of practice to enhance WHS outcomes and management for the Wellcamp facility. Evaluating and providing advice for management of WHS hazards associated with the commissioning and establishment of the MQ-28 production facility and supporting the implementation of effective risk management processes. Performing inspections and audits, investigating incidents and providing advice regarding corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence of incidents. Reporting on the Wellcamp production facility safety system's compliance to meet Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) regulatory requirements. Providing WHS change impact assessment input to MQ-28 production facility changes across all aspects of the enterprise. Conducting education and training to support regulatory and business requirements for the MQ-28 Program; and Evaluating the impact and providing advice on new regulations and the likely impact to enterprise operations. Qualifications and Experience Tertiary qualification in Health, safety and Environment with at least 5 years of EHS experience in an operational environment or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Demonstrated ability to perform with minimal direction and the ability to exercise considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignment. Thorough knowledge of Australian WHS and Environmental laws, regulations and reporting requirements. Demonstrated knowledge and application of the ISO 14001 and 45001 standards. Strong time management skills with the ability to manage conflicting priorities and meet target dates in a very fast-paced environment. Demonstrated experience working within a highly regulated environment; and Ability to meet Defence Security and ITAR requirements. Working knowledge or familiarity with Defence/Aerospace Industry. Experience working in complex manufacturing or high hazard facilities.
