What we’re looking for:
As the Volunteer Administrator, you will champion our Volunteer Program. You will be at the operational front-line, overseeing the recruitment, onboarding, support, and engagement of volunteers. Your role will also involve facilitating training and rostering to ensure our volunteers can provide the best support to our families.
What you’ll be doing:
Recruitment, onboarding and induction of new volunteers
Supporting volunteers to complete the mandatory online training
Managing ongoing compliance requirements for volunteers
Managing the volunteer roster, and shift coverage when required
Serving as the main point of contact, providing support and guidance to volunteers
Actively participating in the continuous review and enhancement of systems and processes to drive improvements
Coordinating volunteer engagement initiatives and events, and oversee reward and recognition programs
Supporting volunteers, to enable them to deliver our mission and support the families staying with us
Supporting strategies to create a positive workplace culture aligned with our values
We are looking for someone who is inspired by our mission and actively wants to contribute to the values held by our team. We want you to champion our Volunteer Program and facilitate the onboarding, training and rostering of our volunteers to enable them to provide the best support to our families.
Ideally you’ll have:
Tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in Human Resources, Social Work, Volunteer Management or related discipline; or comparable work experience, skills or competencies
Experience in the Not-for-Profit sector
Experience with a volunteer management system e.g. Better Impact, Definitiv
Experience with community services including exposure to working with volunteers
Experience building and maintaining effective relationships with diverse stakeholders
Soft skills – high level of emotional intelligence, excellent communication skills, adaptability, flexibility and ability to pivot as needed.
