From $101,643 - $108,749 (depending on experience) + 15.4% superannuation

Information Technology Services delivers IT support to ASIC, driving major transformation projects in areas like the Regulatory Portal and Industry Funding Model. With a focus on data sharing and analytics, we leverage cutting-edge technology to position ASIC as a best-in-class regulator for Australia's financial markets.
As a Technical Writer, Governance, you will guide and shape our use of documentation, develop structured processes and knowledge and support the ability to demonstrate compliance and governance. Here's what you'll tackle:
Collaborate & Discover: Use your communication skills to engage with diverse teams to gain insights into current processes and procedures, aiming to develop accuracy in documentation. Facilitate internal and external audit groups with their relevant audit requirements and support teams to present these items in a timely and suitable format.
Craft Clarity: Apply your experience with content creation to build process documentation, including flow charts, process controls, and governance improvements. Leverage your understanding of reporting outcomes that improves clarity of compliance to defined success metrics for Risk and Governance. Begin supporting teams to create documentation that is accessible to all staff, with the drive for all documentation to meet accessibility standards.
Ensure Compliance: Apply your ability to influence others to guide responsible managers to meet compliance timeframes for policies, processes, controls testing, mitigation plans and audit findings. Be proactive in the management of these items, with the drive to give managers sufficient time to meet these outcomes.
Communicate outcomes: Work with the Manager, Risk and Governance to demonstrate to relevant committees and boards that the Information Technology group is active and focuses on the management of risks, control testing, policy reviews and audit findings.

Likely Skills and Behaviours
Experience in creating and maintaining a range of business documentation that support the operations of a department. This will include policies, processes, work instructions flow charts, RACI charts and other relevant documents.
Ability to communicate with technical people and extract detailed information for collation into business documentation.
Ability to approach problem solving with logic and sensibility, at times guiding others with this approach.
Ability to engage with managers and key staff to manage compliance activities.
Willingness to report activity status openly and guide managers and key staff to address gaps.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Exposure to Risk Management and Governance concepts
Demonstrated strength in a range of technology relevant to the role, including:
Flow charting applications
Desirable Skills and Behaviours
Experience with Risk Management, control testing and reporting.
Experience in working with auditing groups to facilitate department responses, including managing meetings with these groups to guide outcomes.
Ability to facilitate workshops to bring multiple groups together to lift the collective understanding and alignment of policies and processes.
Experience in taking unstructured information and creating structured knowledge and documented policies, processes, work instructions, controls, and governance.
Formal education in Content Creation, Technical Writing, Policy Development, Risk Management and Governance
Demonstrated exposure to other applications and systems, including:
Knowledge Management and Record Management systems
