You will provide detailed review and support to capital cost estimates, cash flow, working capital assessments, and to the preparation of estimate documentation. Your recommendations ensure accurate cost estimations and will be essential in driving project profitability and success.  Major Responsibilities: Conducts capital cost estimates  Reviews design scope criteria and develops quantities for undefined scope assumptions Participates in establishing pricing structures and job hours to be applied to quantities for estimates  Conducts detail pricing for non-manual labour service using functional staffing and other direct cost inputs  Prepares estimate basis and assumption documentation for their area of responsibility in support of overall estimate development  Supports complex order of magnitude estimates  Prepares cost studies, trend estimates, and life cycle cost estimates in specialized areas Identifies risk items and assigns risk levels to portions of the project work and identifies measures to mitigate risk in area of responsibility  Interfaces with designated management personnel on specific sections of estimate presentations  Education and Experience Requirements: Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience OR 12-14 years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree Required Knowledge and Skills: Demonstrated intermediate-to-advanced understanding of Estimating core processes Advanced knowledge of EPC/EPCM estimating methods, processes, and procedures. Understands estimate types, classifications, and components. Specifically understands detail level estimates and design packages.  Significant knowledge and experience in quantity takeoffs, statistical analysis, and cost and price analysis, life cycle analysis and management of personnel.  Skilled in understanding and implementing technical discipline processes, engineering drawings, quantity determinations, and mathematical and financial reports. Advanced understanding of craft productivity, current market pricing in related areas and knowledge of construction practices in local work region. Advanced knowledge of construction methods and techniques inarea of specialization Knowledge of the principles of Life-Cycle costing, cost in use, and operating costs and ability to undertake a Net Present Value (NPV) analysis. Thorough understanding of project cash flows and the corresponding time value of money as the cost of working capital. Thorough understanding of cost index and escalation projection sources. Proficient in estimating applications used for discipline estimates and knowledgeable of at least one general estimating system currently being used by Bechtel (EPIC, BETK, HCSS, Candy, etc.).
