You will play a vital role in safeguarding a world class maritime, intelligence, surveillance and response aircraft in the P-8A Poseidon. As the Senior Systems Administrator, you will support IT Systems that are part of the RAAF's P8-A Poseidon program. Working in a purpose-built facility, you will be responsible for managing, maintaining and configuring our IT systems and networks. You'll ensure reliability, performance and security of the systems whilst supporting our military customer.  Your well-developed communication skills, together with your ability to build exceptional stakeholder and customer relationships, will see you lead this multi-disciplinary team. This role is based onsite at RAAF Base Edinburgh. As a Senior Systems Administrator at Boeing Defence Australia, your Key Responsibilities will be: Plan and schedule IT maintenance activities Install, configure, and maintain servers, networks, and other IT infrastructure components. Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal operation. Implement security measures to safeguard sensitive data and protect against cyber threats. Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls. Perform regular backups and disaster recovery operations. Work with the customer Identify capabilities, practices and resources to provide effective product support and technical issue resolution. Convey complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences. To be considered for this role you will have: Demonstrated experience in a complex systems administration role. Strong knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux, etc.) and server management. Familiarity with networking concepts and protocols (CISCO,TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.). Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware) Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
