About the role As the Elders State Livestock Manager, you will develop and implement a strategic sales plan for Commercial, Stud Stock, and A+ segments across Victoria and the Riverina, aligned with our national livestock strategy. You'll drive sales activities, maximize profitability, and engage your team to achieve ambitious targets. Responsibilities Develop and implement state and area-specific sales strategies to achieve targetsBuild strong relationships with team members, promoting a culture of high performance.Maintain regular communication with livestock staff, offering support and guidance as needed.Maintain and build strong relationships with key industry stakeholders, including but not limited to key clients and meat processors/buyers.Identify business development and growth opportunities across the region, including further avenues to marketLead and manage livestock training programs, ensuring continuous professional growth.Role model and promote a safety-first culture, ensuring adherence to Workplace Health and Safety regulations.Support key selling centres and staffing requirementsAssist in resolving any claims/disputes which may ariseWork closely with State Management team, along with national and local leaders About you Significant experience in livestock sales and proven success in achieving sales targets and a Demonstrated understanding of the various markets across Victoria and the RiverinaExtensive background in managing, leading and influencing sales teams coupled with strong client relationship management skills.Effective communication skills, along with an extensive understanding of different livestock market trends.Expert knowledge of livestock products and safe handling practices, with the ability to hold effective team meetings and facilitate knowledge sharing.Relevant qualifications, including Certificate IV in Front-line Management and Auctioneer license.Proficient in using technology and software for sales management and reporting.About EldersAs a trusted Australian agribusiness, we have played an important role in the agricultural sector for 185 years.
