Job description About the role The Project has an exciting opportunity for a Part-Time or Casual Fact Checker (4 days per week, including Sunday) to join our team in Melbourne. In this role you will : · Work closely with The Project’s editorial and legal teams to verify the show’s content and graphic elements · Research and evaluate the statements and claims made across all aspects of the program, from daily news headlines to entertainment pieces · Liaise with the Network’s legal division to ensure classification, censor and legal advisors are made aware of any relevant issues · Join a dynamic and creative newsroom at the forefront of Australia’s changing TV landscape About you We’re looking for someone with an unshakeable commitment to detail; someone who could never walk past a misplaced apostrophe; someone with a passion for getting things right – every time! · Proficient use of grammar, punctuation, and spelling · Objectivity and impartiality while engaging with the show’s content · Impeccable attention to detail · Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal · Extensive general knowledge; social and political awareness · Great vibes About us The Project is Network Ten’s flagship current affairs program with a commitment to original, creative storytelling and journalism.
