Located within the Health Promotion Systems group, the position of Coordinator, Food Systems reports to the Manager, Food Systems.
The Coordinator has a close working relationship with the Manager, and the broader Health Promotion Systems Group. They are expected to develop and nurture excellent relationships across VicHealth and with key external stakeholders, including staff in government departments and agencies.
Key responsibilities:
Contributing to the design of approaches and activities to influence systems-based approach to achieve VicHealth objectives
Contributing to activating opportunities for system change to achieve VicHealth objectives
Contributing to accountability approaches designed to demonstrate achievement of VicHealth outcomes and objectives
Where required, supporting the implementation of grants rounds, by providing expertise, knowledge and capability
The successful candidate must be able to must be able to provide efficient and effective liaison; maintain relationships with stakeholders; and represent VicHealth in a professional manner at stakeholder events.
We’re looking for someone who can design, implement and manage all facets of a project; confidently and clearly conveys ideas and information, both written and verbally; works collaboratively with others to find solutions to problems; and observes fine details & identifies gaps in information.
Qualifications and experience:
Relevant qualification at Advanced Diploma level and/or strong demonstrable experience working as a project officer
Experience working within the public health, health promotion, food systems, community or government sectors
An understanding of how Food Systems impact health and wellbeing
Demonstrated ability to learn new approaches and apply them in practice

Tenure: Full-time, fixed-term (until 29 August 2025)
Classification: VicHealth Grade C
Remuneration: From $79,060 per annum (plus superannuation and other benefits)
Up to $3,000 towards professional development each year
