The team
This role sits within Group Communications, which is part of ASIC's Communications and Corporate Affairs Group. The Communications and Corporate Affairs Group leads ASIC's communications and stakeholder engagement across internal, corporate, and external channels, including media, digital, and social. Within this, Group Communications oversees both the Strategic Communications and Internal Communications teams, taking a whole-of-ASC approach to delivering clear, consistent, and impactful messaging.
The role
As an Employee Communications Adviser, you will play a key role delivering strategic and internal communications that enhance employee engagement and alignment with ASIC's objectives.
More specifically you will:
Develop and deliver an employee communication strategy that connects ASIC's people with strategic priorities and values.
Plan, create, and distribute high-quality content across internal and external channels, including media and social platforms.
Support senior leaders with presentations and events, ensuring clear and engaging messaging.
Provide expert advice on employee communication issues, ensuring alignment with ASIC's objectives.
Evaluate and improve communication effectiveness, bringing a campaign mindset to stakeholder engagement.
You will have a relevant tertiary qualification in communications or a related field, or substantial industry experience. With a strong background in employee communications, you will have experience developing and delivering communication strategies in corporate, government, or professional services environments. A deep understanding of the financial services sector is essential, particularly in supporting group functions and cultural change.
You will have strong writing skills and the ability to create engaging content across multiple channels. With a strategic, campaign-focused approach, you will shape ASIC's internal communications to align with broader objectives and enhance employee engagement. Highly organised and adaptable, you will manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment while demonstrating sound judgment and a proactive mindset. Your ability to build strong relationships and identify opportunities for communication improvements will be key to success in this role.
