Responsibilities • Manage and maintain database systems, ensuring their performance, security, and reliability • Design and implement database architectures and data models to support applications and business needs • Monitor database performance and conduct tuning to optimize query performance and resource utilization • Establish and enforce database security policies and procedures to protect sensitive data • Collaborate with development teams to support database-related projects and provide troubleshooting assistance • Develop and maintain backup and recovery plans to ensure data integrity and availability • Stay updated on industry trends and database technologies to recommend improvements and best practices Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field • Proven experience as a Database Manager or in a similar role, focusing on database management and operations • Strong proficiency with database management systems such as Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL • Experience with database design, development, and performance tuning • Familiarity with database security measures and best practices • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with technical teams and stakeholders
