Learn more about our extraordinary teams building inspiring projects in our Impact Report.  As Workforce Services Manager, you will handle project industrial and employee relations activities, leading complex employee relations investigations, and resolving employee and industrial relations disputes including work stoppages. You will interpret contracts, enforce work rules, and participate in workplace negotiations. Your work will facilitate positive labour relations, mitigating risk and minimizing issues that have the potential to lead to work stoppages and schedule delays. Major Responsibilities: Development and implementation of Project’s Employee relations strategy Project planning including labour studies, labour strategies, cost estimates, labour rate development, budgets, scope of work development, and subcontract document development. Managing and overseeing recruitment, selection, and employment of craft professional personnel, including mobilisation/orientation processes in both a direct hire and subcontracting environment. Budget and Scope of work development, in relation to services subcontracts applicable to the Workforce Services function – accommodation operations, transportation, security services. Development & implementation of systems to minimise (industrial) risk associated with direct hire and or subcontracting the works including interface with Contractors. Workplace risk mitigation, including development of industrial and employee relations conditions for direct hire; subcontracting; subcontracting strategy; industrial action contingency planning. Other responsibilities as designated. Education and Experience Requirements: Requires bachelor's or master's degree (or international equivalent) and 13-15 years of relevant experience or 17-19 years of relevant work experience. Major project construction Employee/Industrial Relations experience in unionised environment. Required Knowledge and Skills: Working knowledge & understanding of industrial / employment / training / craft professional employee relations systems and their implementation. Strong leadership, and team management abilities. Effective communication and presentation skills.
