Learn more about our extraordinary teams building inspiring projects in our Impact Report.  The Ar Rjum Project comprises a green field gold project with three open pit mining operations with associated waste dumps and ore stockpile, a processing plant, tailings management facilities, and supporting infrastructure including water supply, power supply, maintenance facilities, offices, temporary and permanent accommodation village. The Project is situated within the Central Arabian Gold Region, approximately 200 km north-east of Taif towards Riyadh and about 26 km South of Al Mouwayh, which is a small town situated on the Jeddah – Riyadh highway. A desert track connects Al Mouwayh to the Project site. Bechtel has been awarded the Ar Rjum gold project feasibility study update and related works by Ma'aden, Saudi Arabia’s state-owned mining company. The scope will include updating the existing design capacity from 6 Mtpa to 8 Mtpa and preparing for execution, which is anticipated to kick off execution in 2025. As Project Field Engineer, you will provide project field engineering specialization and expertise with work planning and packaging, material management, quantity verification and validation, safety and quality control, technical inspection and testing knowledge, and subcontract coordination. Your recommendations will ensure field engineering activities operate safely, are complete, and conform to quality standards and project requirements. Major Responsibilities: Specialization & Expertise  Provides high level knowledge and expertise in a particular discipline, subject matter, or specialized process required for construction (e.g., tunnel boring, site de-watering, glove boxes, special coatings systems, HVAC systems, Fire Detection and Suppression, reactor tender gallery coordinator, etc.)  Provides expert technical consultation support to projects.  Work Planning & Packaging  Prepares construction drawings and sketches.  Leads preparation of construction drawings and schedules and the design of temporary construction facilities and ensures preparation of "as built" drawings and other job plans.   Material Management  Initiates requisitions for field purchases.  Prepares quantity takeoffs of field purchased material and equipment.  Oversees the verification of commodities on quantity tracking systems or other computer database systems as required.  Safety / Quality Control  Ensures zero accident philosophy and requirements are implemented and adhered to by craft and others when in the operational area, and tools and equipment are in safe condition and operated safely.  Proactively considers continuous learning or shows interest to pursue appropriate learning activities.  STR / Subcontract Coordinator  Reviews and approves inspection test plans.  Education and Experience Requirements: Required or master's degree (or international equivalent) and 13-15 years of relevant experience or 17-19 years of relevant work experience. Required Knowledge and Skills: Prior gold plant construction experience is beneficial. Prior Middle Eastern experience is beneficial, in either EPC or EPCM project delivery. Processing plant / mineral processing plant background and experience. Multidisciplinary skills and experience - project comprises site establishment / civil works, processing plant comprises materials handling, SAG/Ball mills, large agitated tanks, site infrastructure includes camp, overland pipeline, electricity supply to the site, roads and security fencing.
