Headquartered in Santiago, Chile, the M&M global business unit also has offices in Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide in Australia along with execution units in the United States, Peru, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, India and other project locations around the world. Job Summary: As Health & Safety Advisor, you will establish industrial hygiene processes and programs on large or complex projects or facilities, using judgment, experience, and science to reduce the potential for adverse impacts. You will conduct research and assessments, analyse data, track performance and trends, and provide input on bid decisions. Your methods of controlling potential health hazards will keep employees working safely. Major Responsibilities: Assists execution of the Health and Safety component of an HSE Program inclusive of technical and administrative aspects.  Implementation of their responsibilities under the Work Health and Safety Management Plan, associated plans and procedures, and training program.  Provides input to Engineering, Construction, Procurement, Subcontracts, Commissioning, and other groups to assure that Health and Sfaety requirements are integrated within project planning and execution.  Management and review of Contractor health and safety work plans, risk assessments and permits Conducting audits and assurance activities on works contractors to ensure they are following the Project procedures Interprets Health and Safety requirements and provides comprehensive assistance on plan preparation, risk assessment, and HSE program execution.  Research moderately complex issues and regulatory requirements and prepares documentation and reports.  Provides support and guidance for health and safety studies, risk assessments, and program reviews and audits. Other responsibilities as designated. Education and Experience Requirements: Requires a Bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) related to industrial hygiene and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience Required Knowledge and Skills: Ability to use Microsoft Programs including Word, PowerPoint and Excel Demonstrated experience interacting with Contractors and Client teams Working Rights in Australia without employer sponsorship are required.
