They provide comfortable, culturally safe and affordable accommodation, three meals a day and a welcoming environment for those who stay. AHL is looking for a passionate and experienced accommodation manager to join their team at Nhulunbuy Hostel. Working closely with the local community, you will support First Nations People staying in hostels and ensure residents can connect with all services they require during their stay. AHL is proud to be one of the largest employers of First Nations People in the Australian Public Service (APS) with First Nations employees making up approximately 50% of their workforce.   AHL Assistant Hostel Managers are responsible for the day-to-day running of their hostels. This is a hands-on role and will see you working closely with the team to provide a safe, clean and welcoming environment.  Great Assistant Hostel Managers come from a wide range of professional backgrounds.  While experience in a similar industry such as hospitality management, community health or social and cultural services is important, a really successful Assistant Hostel Manager must have empathy and resilience with a calm but firm demeanour.
