Job Description

Accounts Administrator (purchase ledger) A brilliant opportunity has arisen to join a city centre based company as a full time, Accounts Administrator to work specifically within the purchase ledger team on a 6 month fixed term contract,. Working within quite a large department, you will be working alongside a friendly team who are responsible for reconciling supplier accounts, processing supplier invoices and transactions, and providing information for payment batches efficiently&accurately. Your key tasks as Accounts Administrator will include: * Ensuring that purchase ledger transactions are processed * Acting as the main contact point for account queries * Managing supplier accruals to ensure accuracy * Processing high volumes of invoices and transactions * Preparing invoices ready for payment. * General administration and non-routine payment processing as requested What you will need: * Proven previous experience of working in a fast-paced accounts environment. * A high level of numeracy and data understanding/manipulation. * Confident and competent user of excel to an intermediate level. * Excellent and diplomatic telephone manner re: supplier contact point. * Excellent IT skills, including keyboard skills and Microsoft packages. * A self-starter with a positive, enthusiastic‘can do’ attitude and a down to earth approachable manner. * It would be great, although not essential, if you have experience of working with foreign currencies.
