Primary Year 6 Teacher Location: Sheffield, South Yorkshire Start Date: ASAP Daily Rate:£140 – £160 GSL Education are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Year 6 Teacher to join one of our esteemed primary schools in Sheffield. This full-time position is available to start immediately and encourages Early Career Teachers to apply confidently. The ideal candidate will bean accomplished Key Stage 2 practitioner with a strong grasp of the Year 6 curriculum, having keen interest in working with young pupils, creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that supports their growth and development. Job Responsibilities: Plan and deliver engaging and effective lessons tailored to Year 6 students. Implement assessment strategies to track progress and provide constructive feedback. Foster an inclusive, engaging, and supportive learning environment. Differentiate learning activities to meet the diverse needs of all pupils, including those with SEND or EAL. Collaborate with colleagues, teaching assistants, and senior leadership to support student development. Build strong relationships with parents and carers, maintaining open and proactive communication. Participate in school activities, staff meetings, and professional development sessions. Essential Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification. Proven experience teaching Upper Key Stage 2, ideally Year 6, would be added advantage. Strong knowledge of the Key Stage 2 national curriculum in terms of planning and delivering lessons. Ability to differentiate lessons effectively to support varying abilities. A commitment to high expectations for behaviour and achievement. Strong classroom management and behaviour strategies. A Child Workforce Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one. DBS sponsorship is available on conditional basis!
