An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the commercial team working on site at Gatwick Airport. The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be joining a growing team who are overseeing projects valued from£500k to £2m on one of the Europe's busiest airports. These projects will include repairs to runways and taxiways, the installation of airfield lighting, stand re-configurations, drainage and flood prevention, winter resilience works and much more. The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be undertakinga key role within this busy team and responsible for: Leading the commercial function across a number of projects both within the existing frameworks and stand-alone projects Act as a focal point for all commercial activities across the projects Assist with the review of contractual documentationthroughout the tender stage Checking and authorising subcontractor orders and payments Preparing and presenting monthly cost value reports Take a pro-active approach to dispute avoidance and management Act as a mentor and coach to the other surveyors within the team Provide the operations teams withall the necessary commercial support required Senior Quantity Surveyors considering this opportunity will need to have previously worked for a UK based main contractor and have excellent communication skills. You'll need to live within a reasonable commute of Gatwick Airport and be happy to work onsite 5 days a week.
