Job Description

We’re currently seeking an experienced Receptionist (or Admin) to join a brilliant charitable organisation that deliver services for people with disabilities. The Receptionist is the first point of contact for the company, and you’ll play a crucial role in creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere for all visitors to the office. You’ll be responsible for answering the main switchboard, dealing with all enquiries professionally and politely and you’ll support with some clerical duties and tasks. On offer is a salary of £24,612 (£12.79 per hour), 25 days leave plus bank holidays, employee wellbeing and assistance programme, occupational sick pay, life assurance and opportunities to undertake training and qualifications. You’ll have the chance to develop your skills and knowledge too, undertaking administrative duties, attending training, meetings, and conferences to enhance your career. The Receptionist Role * You’ll be greeting all visitors to the building, directing them to the appropriate person and offering refreshments * Maintaining front door security to the building at all times, ensuring all visitors sign in and out. * Answering telephone calls to the main switchboard and forwarding calls on appropriately. * Ensuring the office has sufficient refreshment, cleaning and stationary supplies * Handling routine correspondence * Contacting contractor and arranging appointments on the direction of senior staff * Sorting and distributing mail * Support the team with conference room bookings, arranging meetings and booking taxi’s * Undertake Fire Marshal and First Aid Duties (Training will be provided) Assist with Health and Safety checks The Successful Candidate * We’re looking for somebody who has worked in a role such as Receptionist / Admin Assistant previously and has an excellent knowledge of Microsoft operating systems and office procedures such as filing, scanning, photocopying etc. * You’ll have a good level of general education in Maths and English * You’ll demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively and be able to build successful relationships with people * You’ll be able to work on your own initiative and prioritise tasks.
