Property Maintenance Technician Location: Middlesbrough Salary: Up to£23,676 Per Annum Hours: Monday – Friday, 37 hours per week Annual Leave: 30 Per Annum plus statutory Bank Holidays Pension: NEST Pension Scheme Job Purpose: Opportunity to work hands-on doing general repairs within a small multi-disciplined team Progression and career development opportunities for the right candidate Self-starter with high standards and a comprehensive safety ethic sought. To provide a comprehensive property maintenance service all college buildings. Key Responsibilities * To undertake general site maintenance work on College premises including minor works repairs, and fault finding. * Assist maintenance trades as allocated by the engineering coordinator * Carry out general maintenance requests from the helpdesk * Carry out PPM work sheets * Carry out projects as requested * Carry out manual handling tasks * Assist Grounds team on occasions* Assist in construction of access equipment * Collect materials from suppliers as required using the maintenance van * Carry out minor works repairs within scope of competence * Assist in maintaining school buildings and grounds in excellent condition. * Maintain a high standard ofsafety, cleanliness, and efficiency in all maintenance and repair projects. * Perform preventive maintenance, repair, and installation in connection with: electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems and exterior and interior of buildings. * Move equipment and materials within and between school buildings. * Understand and be able to evaluate RAMS for works within areas of competence * Undertake appropriate minor multi trade duties to facilitate efficient completion of tasks. * Ensure accurate and timely completion of all paperwork including job tickets and associated documentation.Requirements * Level 2 Property maintenance Apprenticeship or equivalent * Able to use IT systems such as MS365, given the appropriate training * Ability to appropriately respond to emergency situations to ensure prompt and appropriate care is administered and safety is maintained. * Able to work off height access equipment * Minimum 2 years Industrial experience For more information please contact Travis Townsend at Imperial Recruitment
