LEAD INFORMATION Job Title– Production Supervisor Site location – St Helens Responsible to – Production Manager Purpose of the role – Responsible for organising and overseeing the manufacturing of the mouldings department. You will be ultimately responsible for the smooth running of all production lines within yourdepartment and the quality of output. Client brief – Our client is one of the largest independent wooden mouldings manufacturers in the UK supplying independent and national merchant customers across the UK. Multimillion pound investments in new machinery in recent years with a strong fucus on growth and the development of innovative design ideas. KEY INFORMATION Reason for vacancy – Increased demand Contract – Permanent Salary - £27,000 - £30,000 Depending on experience Shifts – Monday to Friday only, 8am-5.30pm Holidays – 28 days Inc Bank Holidays Facilities – Fantastic facilities on site inclusive of onsite parking, all kitchen facilities, very well kept site RESPONSIBILITIES The role - Our client is looking for a Production Supervisor to join their operation at their wood mill Production facility based in St Helens. As a Production Supervisor, the responsibilitiesare varied but not limited to – * To ensure all production requirements are efficiently and effectively planned and scheduled to maintain appropriate stock levels. * To ensure that the BIS track system has the correct information, input times, quantities, reject, count, ensuring all operatives are inputting accurate data. * To monitor, review and identify the requirements for raw materials through appropriate liaison with Planning Manager. * Maintain a high standard of housekeeping and implementing a cleaning schedule. * Liaise with Cell leaders to ensure training methodologyis uniform across the department. * Ensure that all health and safety rules and systems are strictly adhered to. Assist in risk assessment and the identification of hazards. * Be prepared to cover for cell leader in the absence of training, holiday and sickness, this will require a degree of flexibility. * Liaise with management to formulate objectives and understand requirements. * Organize workflow to meet specifications and deadlines. KEY SKILLS REQUIRED * Proven Experience as a production supervisor/Team Leader within a timber manufacturing setting * Sound understandingof production management, understanding of quality standards and health and safety regulations. * Experience in performance evaluation * Good computer skills * Communication ability, excellent organization, and leadership
