Job Title: Plant Maintenance Mechanical Fitter Pay: £33,500 per annum (£16.51 per hour) Location: TATA Steel, Shotton Works, Shotton Records Centre, Deeside CH5 2NH Remote Working: No Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday Hours: 39 hours per week Holidays: 35 days holiday Duration: 12 months, with potential for permanent extension Essential Requirements: * Full driving licence and access to a car * Minimum of 2 years of plant experience in a steel or construction-related industry * Time-served fitter * Strong verbal and written communication skillsDesirable Criteria: * NVQ Level 3 or above in Mechanical Engineering Key Responsibilities: * Perform mechanical maintenance, refurbishment, and repair of mechanical equipment within the cranes department * Undertake preventative and corrective maintenance on overhead travelling cranes* Repair mechanical items to a high standard using existing drawings * Assist in the development and design for the manufacture of spare parts for cranes * Repair and refurbish existing equipment * Support workshops, auxiliary plants, and downshifts as required * Conduct risk assessments and LOLERs (Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations) * Perform zone safety audits * Maintain and promote a high level of Health and Safety Benefits: * Advice and editing on your current CV * The dedicated team throughout your journey within the role * Ongoing trainingand support throughout your role * Paid holiday * Exclusive online services including restaurant and retail discounts * Chance to receive £300* for referring a friend * Opportunity for progression into permanent roles * Competitive rates of pay All applicants are subject to vettingchecks including but not limited to: Right to work check, reference check
