Care First 24 are currently seeking a Paediatric Complex Care Assistant who can access the Oxford area on a new package of care. We are offering market leading pay rates and are looking to build a supportive care team to work with this young person. You will be supported by our inhouse Paediatric / Children’s Clinical Lead as well as experienced Paediatric / Children’s Care Coordinator in delivering a solid care experience for the young person and families involved. Care First 24 are a complex care provider for both physical and mental health needs across the UK and support those with PHB’s, CHC funded, case management as well as private clients. We have a new package of care available for a Paediatric Care Assistant in Oxford:Shifts: * Nights – 19.00 – 07.00 – Monday to Sunday Outline on condition: Medical History * 1. Chronic lung disease- Ex 30+6/40 * 2. Trachea oesophageal fistula repaired. * 3. Right thoracotomy, partial CPAM excision, right lower lobectomy, TOF ligation and open gastrostomy 10-10-2022 * 4. Right sided CPAM – (congenital pulmonary airway malformation) partially resected 18/8 * 5. Pulmonary hypertension (sildenafil and diuretics * 6. Tracheal pouch * 7. Inguinal hernia repaired. * 8. NIV/Airvo dependant * 9. PEG fed – nil orally Care requirements: *Client currently requires ventilation (Airvo) at night. Patient is not dependent on his ventilator and would survive accidental disconnection. Plan: Patient will be weaned from it before discharge. * PEG feeding * Wound care (Well established stoma which requires routine care, however, Oesophagostomy always leaking, needs regular attention to prevent pressure sores) * Manual handling (1-year-old child) * Personal care (wash, nappy change etc) * Physiotherapy (following patient physio plan) * Activities (sensory) * Medication administration We have a stringent but fast registration process and our inhouse Training Team can provide additional training for the specifics of this Paediatric / Children’s package as long as you have relevant Paediatric / Children’s care experience. Training program and shadow shifts will be undertaken on the ward before any potentialdischarge.
