To act as principal point of contact for customers’ engineers. * Responsible for the generation of solutions to customer’s requirements. * Managing individual projects allocated. This will involve creating engineering designs using 3D modelling, 2D drawings. Raising PO Requests for materials, equipment and the subsequent responsibility for the prototype build and test . * To liaise with Production/Manufacturing Engineering to ensure a smooth transition into manufacture and ensuring that any processes introduced meet Customer requirements. * To work with and support the Sales Department function * To ensure that Customer related information is maintained and archived in accordance with Departmental procedures. * To work with due regard to Health and Safety requirements. * To ensure that 5S housekeeping targets are achieved in areas of control. * To support the Engineering function when other Engineers are notavailable. Experience: * 6 to 10 years engineering experience in a design, development and manufacturing environment. * Familiar with the use of SolidWorks (or similar CAD software) to generate models and drawings. Qualifications: * HND in Mechanical Engineering or a similar level ofexperience. • * A Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering is desirable, but not essential should the right candidate have the necessary experience.
