Job Title: Chargehand Location: Newcastle Pay:£29,000.00 with an OTE of £53,000.00 per year We are recruiting Chargehands to work with a long-standing client of ours that works on industrial sites worldwide installing insulation mainly on power sites. Our client works with a niche product, and they understand that most people will not have experience with this type of application. Due to this, training on the product and the methods of applying it will be given. Due to the nature of the work our client preferably looks for candidates who work in the industrial sector with Lagging, insulation and protective Coatings and Civils. Recentsites our client have worked on are Norway, Texas, India, Malasia, Sardinia and Italy, their project book is full of projects in the UK and around the word. Due to the influx of work, they are looking for candidates who are interested in permanent work only to join and grow their team. We must stress that this job is working away from home for long periods of time only apply if this is something you are comfortable with. Our client is accepting candidates from anywhere in the UK as accommodation is supplied on all projects. To be successful you will require:- ·A driving licence ·Covid vaccinations (this is requirement to gain access to sites in certain countries) ·Valid Passport ·Chargehand experience ·site safety card ·Be able to work away from home for up to 3 months at a time. General duties but not limited to:- ·Supervision of applicators and sites as necessary in accordance with Company rules and procedures. ·Maintain a good standard of housekeeping ensuring that the working environment is kept clear of waste on an ongoing basis. ·Maintain tools and equipment to include cleaning and safe storage. ·Ensure that all duties are undertaken in a safe and controlled manner and for which suitable training has been provided. ·Report and immediately deal with any spillages, hazardous and dangerous practises. ·Reduce waste and ensure that all waste materials are disposed of in accordance with company and legislative procedures. ·Conserve energy used by the companyin line with company objectives. ·Help the company to reduce CO2 emissions where possible in line with the company objectives. ·Carry out day to day application as required by Line Manager in accordance with application procedures. ·Control stock levels to ensure correct rotation and ordering inline with project requirements.
