Newcastle upon Tyne, North East England 1 month ago
Job Description
Job Description
Decontamination Driver-Bank
Cobalt Hospital
The role
The safety of our patients and our people is paramount to us at Ramsay Health Care UK. That’s why our work in the Decontamination Unit is so vital. It’s here that we sterilise all the instruments and equipment needed to deliver a wide variety of surgical procedures and treatments across the hospital. Join us, and you’ll help bring peace of mind to our patients, their families, and our hard-working teams, as you deliver for your customers across a complex and changing caseload that’s full of variety.
We are seeking a competent individual who is looking for flexible working and open to available shifts dependent on the need at Cobalt Hospital. Please be aware on a Bank contract we are unable to confirm contracted shift patterns therefore this is a great opportunity for current Bank workers or someone looking for additional hours in their current role. The primary driving role will include the collection and delivery of medical instruments from/to our local Ramsay hospitals plus other various site related duties will be required. You will require a full driving license for this role.
Where you’ll be based
Cobalt Hospital has been delivering health services for many years and has established a reputation with patients and the healthcare community for consultant led services and high patient satisfaction. Registered with the Care Quality Commission patients can be assured of the highest standards in surgical, nursing, hygiene and aftercare services at Cobalt. The endoscopy service has recently achieved Joint Advisory Group accreditation an industry standard for the delivery of endoscopy procedures so patients can be assured they will receive the highest quality of clinical care and patient experience.
What you’ll bring with you
If you have experience in this field that’s going to be beneficial – but it’s not essential. If you’re eager to learn, we can support you through our Ramsay Academy to gain the skills and qualifications you need to join – and then develop – in the department. If you are flexible and versatile, with a real can-do attitude, you’ll be perfect for this fast-paced, patient- centred role.
What we giveback to you:
· Competitive hourly rates plus enhancements
· Free DBS
· Contributory pension scheme
· Excellent training and development opportunities
· Free parking and subsidised staff restaurant (subject to site facilities)
· Free uniform
· Access to Blue Light Card
What is a Bank Contract:
A Bank contract at Ramsay Health Care UK is a flexible employment agreement where you are not committed to a set number of hours per week. Instead, you work on an ad-hoc basis, filling in shifts that we haveavailable in our hospitals. A Bank contract is ideal for individuals seeking flexibility, as it allows you to choose shifts that fit your availability, leaving you with a greater work-life balance. Bank contracts are also a fantastic way to secure additional income alongside other contracted work. Our Bank staff play a crucial role in maintaining service levels during peak times or staff shortages, ensuring that patient care remains uninterrupted.
