Job Description
Alexander James Recruiting is currently working with one of the UK’s leading distributors of diesel engines and automatic transmissions into a vast number of industry sectors. They are currently looking to on-board a new engineer to work out of their workshop in West London to maintain, remove/refit and inspect customer’s products. With a competitive base salary and opportunities for overtime, this would be a great opportunity for an experienced Diesel Engineer or a recently qualified mechanical engineer looking to get into an industry with great long-term potential.
Responsibilities
· Fixing and maintaining diesel engines and automatic transmissionsfor multiple types of machinery and vehicles from the company’s workshop in West London
· Inspecting of customer’s engines and associated products
· Communicating with customers as and when required to deliver technical advice
· Working closely with other workshop and depot staff to ensuretime is well-kept and high standards are maintained
· Reporting to the Workshop Manager daily and carrying out and required paperwork
Requirements
The company have a preference for an individual with experience of fixing diesel engines and automatic transmissions. Due to the wide variety of sectors that this company’s products are sold into, the industry from which the candidate’s experience comes from, is less important. Someone from a Commercial Vehicle, Material Handling Equipment or Plant Equipment could be well suited to the role but other industries will be considered. Another option could be a recently qualified Mechanical Engineer looking to get into a long-term role. In terms of location, you will need to be based in West London or the surrounding areas.
Benefits
· Competitive salary up to £32k (based on experience)
· Overtime opportunity paid at time and a half Mon-Fri and double time on weekends
