Site Reliability Engineer International Banking Group London (Hybrid) As a trusted recruitment partner to this global banking group, we are looking for an experienced Site Reliability Engineer (Kubernetes SRE) to take responsibility for infrastructure reliability and efficiency through the delivery of common, repeatable tools and processes that greatly reduce the amount of toil operations must perform. You will also be a member of the L3 Engineering team providing SME and ultimate escalation. As an SRE, here's what you'll be responsible for Develop self-managing software and self-service dashboards. Implement Infrastructure as Code for continuous improvement. Automate and eliminate manual, repetitive tasks. Enhance system performance, resource utilisation, load distribution, and latency reduction. Define SLOs for availability and latency. Create proactive monitoring solutions for symptom alerts. Conduct root cause analyses to prevent future incidents. Collaborate with development teams on testing and release. Address technical debt with application teams. Develop SOPs and documentation. Plan cloud migration strategies. Deliver projects on time and within budget. Coordinate with Infrastructure Control and IT Risk teams for audits. Serve as team lead when needed. Identify cost-saving and optimisation opportunities.Experience and Skills Required Expertise in Kubernetes/Docker deployment, scaling, and management. Optimise Prometheus, Influxdb, and Grafana performance. Write/maintain Grafana Dashboards with PromQL, InfluxQL/Flux. Work with Rook, Ceph, Noobaa, Trino, MariaDB Xpand, Dremio, Kibana, KX. Use CI/CD/CT platforms: Git, Ansible, Terraform, TeamCity, SDA, Jenkins. Practice Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, Agile, SRE, DevOps. Scripitng/Programming in PowerShell, Python, Bash, C#. Proficient in backup/recovery processes and procedures. Knowledge of Clustering, High-Availability, Replication, Disaster Recovery. Tune network, storage, server, and virtualisation layers. In-depth performance tuning of system internals. Implement CIS security hardening.
