Salary: 80- 100 per day, based on experience. Location: Waltham Forest, East London. Start Date: Immediate. As an SEN Teaching Assistant , you will work closely with a Key Stage 1 pupil with ASD , providing the structured support they need to feel engaged, confident, and successful in the classroom. Key Responsibilities: Provide 1:1 support , adapting learning materials to meet the pupil's needs. Implement individual learning plans designed by the SENCO and class teacher. Use visual aids, sensory techniques, and structured routines to help maintain focus and engagement. Encourage social interaction and build the pupil's confidence in group activities. Monitor progress and communicate with staff and parents about the pupil's development. What We're Looking For: Experience working with ASD, ADHD, or other SEN needs in a school setting. A patient, positive, and resilient approach to supporting children. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Knowledge of PECS, Makaton, or sensory strategies is a bonus but not essential.
