We are currently working with a medium sized M&E contractor with a turnover of circa£50m and very exciting order book of notable projects that have been secured for 2025 and beyond across technical sectors delivering for leading main contractors who are looking for a mechanical project manager to deliver an £8m healthcare scheme in south-east London. Pre-construction is nearly finished so you will join the project from the outset of the install phase. Reporting to an MEP contracts manager, you will work alongside an electrical equivalent, tasked with managing the mechanical packages from a technical and management perspective. The project will run for 10 months, with ad onslikely on this scheme and a number of new projects upcoming to move onto across the business. Duties: Attend Post-tender / Pre-contract review meetings with Clients&Main Contractors to discuss and agree contract scope along with both commercial and contractual matters.* Post contract award carry out initial equipment checks alongside our design team and advise the design team of any concerns at the earliest opportunity to avoid any procurement / programming or financial implications later.• Post contract award develop equipment procurement and buying schedules for allocated contracts, along with sending out enquiries to suppliers and subcontractors based on received contract documents for completeness and for better buying purposes. • Place subcontract&material orders to satisfy the requirements of our contracts to satisfy technical, programme, cost and quality compliances.• Monitoring of site labour and keeping a record of site activities, numbers of operatives / sub-contractors on site and cost checks against the tender estimates.
