Responsibilities of the Food Technology Subject Leader: Plan, deliver, and lead engaging Food Technology lessons across KS3 to KS5. Develop and implement a robust curriculum that meets the needs of diverse learners. Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely feedback to support their development. Lead and manage the Food Technology department, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning. Collaborate with colleagues to promote a culture of excellence in the school community. Organise and oversee practical lessons, ensuring health and safety protocols are strictly followed. Inspire students to develop practical cooking skills and theoretical knowledge of nutrition, food science, and sustainability. Requirements for the Food Technology Subject Leader: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification. Proven experience teaching Food Technology at secondary level. Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a team effectively. Excellent knowledge of the Food Technology curriculum and its delivery.
