The Neighbourhoods and Housing Management service is a customer facing service which provides a comprehensive neighbourhood, housing tenancy and estate management functions, ensuring high quality standards are met, tackling tenancy and estate management issues and ensuring critically important effective income management is achieved.
If you have the relevant skills, knowledge and experience to provide expert input to lead and develop professional teams providing an excellent and resilient housing service on a citywide and local level, in a complex and fast moving environment, please consider coming to work with us. Your remit will include helping to create attractive, safe and sustainable neighbourhoods and communities within the City of Hull.
You will be expected to take a lead on initiatives that deliver the outcomes of strategic plans, including Hull’s Housing Strategy. Ensure that appropriate decisions are made and actions taken that lead to the achievement of the service area Business plan and also contribute towards the ambitions within the City’s Community Plan that has a direct impact on the lives of all tenants living in the 23,000 council properties in Hull.
You will be required to proactively lead the development of new services and initiatives to meet the specific needs of the area and also contribute to service wide improvement activities. This requires high level change management and project management skills, and proven staff development of teams through coaching, training and delegation.
You will also be expected to represent Hull City Council, acting as an effective ambassador in promoting Hull’s interests at local, regional and national level.
