You will need to be imaginative, motivated and show tenacity for protecting and being a champion for children and young people. You will be responsible for building effective professional relationships with partners across the City and will need to be confident in managing performance and quality of practice. You must be able to work robustly to relevant legislation and have a good knowledge of Inspection Frameworks, with positive planning skills to raise standards and strive for excellence. You can expect to join a welcoming service, where expectations are high and where you will receive support and supervision to develop a culture and environment where practice can flourish and where services to children and young people are of a high standard. As a member of the operational leadership team, you will be instrumental in the development and planning of services. You will be fully committed to the local vision for children in Hull and be able to demonstrate effective leadership experience within a social work context. Occasionally you will be required to work at a strategic level within a local setting and to contribute to regional and national developments.
