Job Description

Closing date:24 January 2025 The Access and Inclusion Service is seeking to appoint an Access and Inclusion Officer to work with partner agencies to monitor and safeguard children who are home educated. You will be required to carry out home visits, working closely with the local authority central admissions team, offering impartial advice and guidance. The post holder will ensure the effective delivery of statutory duties related to Elective Home Education (EHE). This includes ensuring that children receiving home education have access to an education that is suitable for their age, aptitude and individual needs. The welfare of children is a key priority, you must have a commitment to inclusion and knowledge of safeguarding processes. You should be able to build and maintain working relationships and be able to work on your own initiative, prioritising your workload and have a child centred approach to the delivery of services, with a can-do attitude. An ability to use a range of ICT systems and keep clear and accurate case records is essential along with an ability to work to timescales.
