In this newly created, senior engineering leadership role, we are seeking an exceptional Head of Engineering&Projects to join a growing global FMCG manufacturer Driving forward multi-million and BAU engineering projects, across multi-site manufacturing factories, as well as ensuring excellence in electrical&controls standards, factory services and compliance If you’re an experienced engineering leader with a background in fast paced, time sensitive manufacturing projects with a passion for engineering excellence, this could be the opportunity for you! As the Head of Engineering&Projects, leading 10 Direct reports, you’ll play a crucial role in shaping the engineering investment strategy and ensuring the seamless delivery of all CAPEX factory and services projects Key responsibilities and duties: Head of Engineering&Projects Engineering Project Management: Oversee and LEAD a portfolio of engineering projects to the highest standards across several sites within the cluster Factories are close enough to travel between them on a daily basis, if required to Factory Services Leadership: Drive the effectiveness of utilities, optimizing processes, ensuring equipment reliability Engineering Compliance Champion: Ensure all engineering activities meet industry standards Team Development: Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of talented multi-disciplinary engineers and managers, promoting a culture of innovation, collaboration Strategic Planning&Execution: Work closely with UK SLT to align engineering goals with strategic objectives Project Management Expertise: A track record of successfully managing complex projects Strategic Vision: The ability to think big picture while also diving into the details Your duties will encompass oversight of regulatory compliance, project management, team development, and continuous improvement Develop, implement, and maintain an effective and efficient engineering project strategy Oversee the management of Capital Projects UK, leading electrical, services and UK engineering compliance Serve as a trusted advisor to the UK Operations Director, Site Engineering Managers and the UK site management teams on all matters related to engineering within the cluster Optimise and improve the plant’s productive capabilities to meet business demands, including the provision and efficient use of utilities (gas, water, electricity, compressed air), while ensuring compliance with environmental Skills And Experience Required – Head of Engineering&Projects Proven Leadership: Significant experience in a senior engineering management role within the manufacturing sector This could include Food, Drink, Pharma and related consumer goods manufacturing, encompassing process and packaging NEBOSH Certificate qualified Mechanical / electrical qualification or equivalent, ideally degree even better if you are chartered! 5+ years of Engineering leadership experience; with exposure to FMCG environments ideal Track record of engineering project delivery Ability to manage priorities and projects across a multi-site and multi-function organization A personal commitment to role model behaviors and leadership through example What’s on Offer – Head of Engineering&Projects Competitive Salary Professional Growth: Opportunities for further training and development to help you stay at the top of your field Impactful Work: Play a key role in the company’s success and making a tangible difference Collaborative Environment: Be part of a team that values innovation, creativity Company Bonus Scheme Car Allowance or Car Competitive Contributory Pension Healthcare Life assurance scheme Potential relocation , would prefer a local leader If you’re a strategic thinker and natural inclusive people leader, with a passion for driving engineering excellence, we want to hear from you!
