General Operative Active Personnel is currently recruiting a General Operative to work for our client based in Calverton on a rotating shift pattern. Package *£11.50 per hour for Day (6am–2pm) and Afters (2pm–10pm) shifts. * £12.00 per hour for Night shifts (10pm–6am). * Rotating shifts: Days, Afters, and Nights. * Free onsite parking. The Role * Clock in and out at the start and end of each shift. * Always wear the correct PPE.* Maintain the yard in a clean and tidy condition. * Load and unload lorries as required using the equipment provided. * Complete all relevant paperwork for loads in/out, ensuring photographs of the loads are taken and passed to the Commercial Assistant or Manager daily. * Re-bag by-products to reduce the number of smaller bags on site, if instructed. * Ensure by-product bags from the production area are stored in the correct place to await disposal or out-loading. * Assist with loading reject material onto walking floors for transport off-site as required. * Report any damage or defects immediately to the Yard Team Leader. * Never leave the yard without prior authorisation from the Yard Team Leader or Production Manager in their absence. * Refrain from using earphones/headphones in operational areas. * Read and understand all Risk Assessments and Safe Systemsof Work related to tasks being undertaken. The Candidate * Experience working in a similar role (yard operative, general operative, or loader). * Ability to work under pressure and within set guidelines. * Attention to detail to ensure accurate paperwork and adherence to safety protocols.* Team player with excellent communication skills. * Flexibility to work across rotating shifts. * Awareness of Health&Safety regulations. * A valid UK Driving Licence.
