**DESCRIPTION** We are looking for a talented **Senior Manufacturing Engineer** to join our team specializing in **Manufacturing** for **Cummins** in **Darlington, County Durham, United Kingdom.** **In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:** + Lead the planning, design, procurement, and implementation of modifications to manufacturing equipment and systems, while guiding and co-leading project teams. + Direct projects to develop and execute comprehensive manufacturing processes that meet safety standards, manufacturing objectives, business goals, and product specifications. + Apply advanced manufacturing principles and practices to enhance equipment performance and process efficiency, ensuring adherence to Cummins standards. + Drive process improvements by leveraging continuous improvement tools and developing new manufacturing standards and work methods. + Serve as the primary communicator and influencer with key external stakeholders, business leaders, and cross-functional team members. + Collaborate with both internal and external resources to execute project assignments effectively, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. + Maintain strong professional relationships with stakeholders, providing mentorship and coaching to foster a culture of excellence in manufacturing practices. **RESPONSIBILITIES** **To be successful in this role you will need the following:** + Proficient in 2D/3D CAD software, with a preference for experience using AutoCAD. + Skilled in using Microsoft Project for planning and managing projects effectively. + Five or more years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering is preferred, demonstrating a solid foundation in the field. + Familiarity with welding processes, welding robotics, and Industry 4.0 technologies, such as Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs), particularly MiR brand, is advantageous. + Strong technical expertise combined with hands-on experience to support manufacturing operations and innovation. **QUALIFICATIONS** **Education/ Experience:** + College, university, or degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) or related field, or equivalent experience required. + Intermediate level of relevant work experience required. **Job** Manufacturing **Organization** Cummins Inc. **Role Category** Hybrid **Job Type** Exempt - Experienced **ReqID** 2407305 **Relocation Package** No
