Client Details My client is a market-leader in the shipping industry and has offices based across the world (in Germany, Spain, USA&more recently in the Far East). You will be joining a fast-pace environment assisting in finding logistics solutions for some of the world's largest industrial, retail&FMCG based freight forwarding customers. My client focuses on searching air freight, sea freight&road freight solutions, which are both cost effective&time sensitive. Description As a European Road Freight Operator you will report in to the Freight Supervisor, in Derbyshire, on a daily basis. You will be responsible for the following areas for responsibility: Preparing road freight pricing&customer quotations - Informing about the freight prices, port charges, cost of special documents, insurance prices as well as prices for handling the goods Organising transport through third party transit means - such as full loads, part loads, courier and dedicated transport. Providing valid insurance for the vehicles - trucks and trailers Providing appropriate transportation means with adequate load capacity Handling customs entries and arranging billings for VAT/Duties Ensuring, booking and conducting customs clearance.Profile The successful candidate will have an expansive background in the freight forwarding industry with a bias towards either road freight. The ideal European Road Freight Operator will have the following skills and experience: 2+ year's experience in freight forwarding in either road or air freight Experience of pricing, quotation and planning customer deliveries across road, air&sea freight.
