Job Description
Who are we looking for?
We are currently looking for a new Fees Officer to join our Finance team at Cambridge Education Group.
The primary role is intended to be responsible for the collection of student fees in a timely manner and to provide accurate debt reporting to the wider Finance Team. The role will also be responsible for managing the Sales Ledger function to ensure all non-student invoices are issued when required and payment received as per our existing terms.
The role will also require occasional visits to our centre in London to meet with Students during their enrolment and to answer any finance related queries.
The role is on a full-time, permanent basis, based at our Head Office in Cambridge, United Kingdom. We operate under a Hybrid Working policy with 3 days a week that can be worked from home.
Other key responsibilities within this role:

To manage and maintain the billing process on a day-to-day basis.
*
To maximise efficiency of the billing process encompassing billing and payment method changes to support the sales team including a variety of discounts, bursaries and fees management policies.

Ensure that finance systems run smoothly and escalate issues via ticketing systems and to work with external IT support partners across various platforms and centres.
*
To have overall responsibility to collect fees in accordance with invoice due dates, following procedures as set out by Cambridge Education Group including restricting access to study platforms.

Cash application from daily cash receipts that are not fully automated from a variety of payment methods. Handle queries and traces in respect of payments including domestic and international transactions being aware of sanctions and fraud activity that may lead to re-charges.

To work with other members of the Central Finance Team and College and other CEG staff to quickly and courteously answer queries from agents and fee payers regarding student accounts.
Key skills and experience we will be looking for:
*
Credit controller experience in a customer centric organisation and industry is essential.
*
Proven track record of customer service and query resolution.
*
Proven track record of fee collection via finance administration, debtor communications.
*
Strong focus on customer service.
*
Good commercial awareness to support operational teams.
*
Excellent communication skills by phone and email. Good listening and questioning skills.
*
Excellent use of Microsoft Office applications.
*
Problem-solving abilities.
*
Accuracy and attention to detail.
*
Can prioritise conflicting demands.
*
Cash allocation and banking experience an advantage.
