A leading heating specialist in Hampshire is seeking an ambitious Business Development Manager with proven experience of account or delivery management within the energy or construction sectors, to manage the company’s supply chain, develop partnerships with Local Authorities as well as create and implement an effective sales strategy to maintain a competitive advantage within the retrofit installer network.    The role offers an attractive salary and benefits package up to £42,000 with competitive bonusscheme and OTE of £50,000. Along with career progression opportunities, car allowance and enhanced annual leave, this is a fantastic opportunity for a self-driven individual to join a successful, high-performing team and gain invaluable insight into the low-carbon and energy-efficiency sectors.    As the Business Development Manager your responsibilities will include: Developing and delivering clear objectives and strategies focused on financial gain and expanding the client base. Conducting research to identify new markets, clients and partnerships. Promoting the company’s productsand services to prospective clients through prospecting activities, attending industry networking events and conferences, and staying updated on market trends. Building and maintaining strong relationships with new and existing clients as well as understanding their needs and providing suitable solutions. Maintaining a thorough understanding of the company’s products and those of competitors, promoting training programs for installers and customers. Working closely with regional business development managers and sales teams. Ensuring an excellent first impression and customer service experience, managing incoming leads and following up within agreed timescales. Conducting regular meetings with the company’s partners and providing relevant feedback to senior management. Adhering to Government and Regulator guidance, policy proposals and legislation, and the company’s HSE guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.    The Business Development Manager will have the following skills and attributes: Knowledge of the Energy Company Obligation (ECO), Home Upgrade Grant scheme (HUG) and other Government-funded retrofit and energy efficiency programmes. Understandingof the retrofit industry and the processes involved in the installation of insulation, heating and renewables into domestic properties. Experience in working with Local Authorities, in public procurement rules and in working with lead generators and installers. Proven experience in managing internal and external stakeholders. Ability to analyse data analysis and present comprehensive reports. Proficiency in CRM systems and other sales tools. Strong communication and influencing skills with the ability to build rapport quickly.
