Job Title: Financial Controller Location: Bath Salary: 50,000 - 60,000 per annum An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Financial Controller to join a hospitality group in Bath. This key leadership role is responsible for overseeing financial management and reporting, while managing and developing the Group finance function, and building strong relationships with operations. You will work closely with senior management to assess and challenge financial performance against budgets and forecasts, and take full ownership of the monthly management accounts for the Bath site. Key Responsibilities: Oversee all aspects of financial reporting for the Bath site, bank reporting, and financial statements. Manage the processing, payment, and reconciliation of supplier invoices, bank accounts, and VAT returns. Ensure accurate financial data processing from the PMS system into the accounting software. Prepare month-end management accounts and work closely with the General Manager to ensure financial data is correctly recorded. Maintain compliance with financial regulations, policies, and industry standards. Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team to enhance operational efficiency and financial performance. Support the Finance Director on strategic projects and ad hoc assignments. Candidate Requirements: CIMA, ACCA or ACA Qualified / QBE considered Minimum of 5 years' experience in finance or accounting, preferably within the hospitality sector. Strong financial management, forecasting, and strategic planning expertise. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide insights that drive business performance. Demonstrated leadership experience, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders. Highly organised and adaptable. Proven ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
