We are looking for a new Full time Assistant Service Manager to over-see 2 of our local services in the Gosport/Fareham area. The services both have great train and bus links, both services are also near the closest train stations. You would be supporting adults with learning disabilities and additional health needs.
The appointed candidate would ideally hold a full UK valid driving licence, this will enable you to get to and from each service more conveniently.
The role of Assistant Service Manager would require you work across all shifts including evenings and weekends. There is also participation for an On Call rota.

Day to day duties within this role will include:
Experience in a similar role within social care e.g. Assistant Manager, Deputy Manager, Supervisor, Team Leader etc.
Experience supporting people who have learning disabilities and/or complex needs
Experience of managing budgets and financial information
Knowledge of sector relevant legislation regulatory bodies and their standards
Ability to work with your Service Manager to manage and lead a successful and positive team.
Understands the balance between keeping our people safe and positive risk taking.
Stay up to date with policies and procedures to carry out and maintain safe and best practices.
Support the Service Manager to recruit new employees and develop and manage your staff team in a fair and consistent manner.
Work with your Service Manager to reinforce a positive culture of continuous improvement.
Act as the Service Manager in their absence.
To be able to take part in a management cover rota which could include day and night shifts.
Take ownership for continuing professional development for self and the team.
Work with your Service Manager to use management information to make sound business decisions to encourage a solutions led culture.
Complete staff supervisions as well as booking and managing staff training and development.
Rota management
Weekly and monthly finance and medication audits
Ordering, storage and disposal of medication
You will motivate and inspire yourteam to provide outstanding support through effective training, coaching and leadership by example.
Day to day support for the people we are supporting including day to day support at home, in the community and with personal care.
Activities the people you support can include cooking, baking, arts&crafts, gardening, meals out, communal parties, swimming, visiting local shops, cafes and restaurants.
