LB356 - Accounts Assistant Location : Swindon Salary: 27,000 - 31,000 Overview: First Military Recruitment are currently seeking an Accounts Assistant on behalf of one of our clients. To assist the finance team to perform daily accounting tasks, including processing invoices and payments, entering financial transactions, reconciling company transactions, the collection of outstanding monies, maturity calculations and general ledger work. Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel however all candidates will be given due consideration. Duties and Responsibilities: Processing company payments on SagePay, Barclaycard and reconciling against the ledger. Reconciliation of customer accounts between the CRM and Sage50. Handling customer enquiries, collecting payments and preparing monthly reports. Bank reconciliations, banking and assisting with financial administration. Posting invoices on Sage 50. Assisting with the production of monthly credit control reports. Managing purchase ledger tasks, including payment and processing of company incentive scheme. Ad hoc accounting tasks. Skills and Qualifications: Previous accounting experience– preferably 2 years. Knowledge and experience of Sage 50 desirable. Intermediate to advanced Excel. Good communication skills. Attention to detail with strong interpersonal and teamwork skills. Working experience within a commercial SME accounts environment.
