Turner Lovell has been appointed by a leading High Voltage and Medium Voltage engineering services company to source an Estimator / Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Co Kildare. This is a long-standing business offering electrical design, installation, inspection, commissioning, and maintenance services for significant electrical infrastructure projects in Ireland, UK and Europe. This is a new role in the business that has come about through ongoing growth, and will play an integral part in this developing tendering department. You will be responsible for the co-ordination of tender bids and pre-contract activities involving reviewing project documentation, take-off projects, handover and presentation of tender bid to team. Your responsibilities will include: Checking and acknowledging tender documents and amendments. Abstracting information into subcontract and material packages. Selecting subcontract and material suppliers. Ensuring tendering processes are fully implemented. Entering pricing document onto estimating system. Rating up pricing document. Answering queries from subcontractors/suppliers. Liaising with Clients Team during tender process and arrange meeting if required. Identifying scope for design alternatives and value engineering, discussing with appropriate bid team members. To be considered, you should hold a minimum of a Level 7 Degree in a relevant qualification, such as Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or Construction Management. You should have 5+ years' experience in Estimating / Quantity Surveying; experience in a MV / HV organisation is desirable, but not necessary. You should have strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
