The candidate will be negotiating competitive rates with hotels and accommodation / service providers for clients both regular and ad-hoc visitors The Role: - Nurturing a successful collaboration with hotel and other service providers - Travelling by car to meet potential partners and find new accommodation options - Regularly visit existing properties/ hotels to contract group allocations andnegotiate tour series terms for clients - Keep your industry knowledge updated via research and site visits - Build a buying strategy for Ireland - Be responsible for placing series and confirming details and spaces internally, respecting the budgets and locations required - Keep track of cancellation deadlines, fulfilment of allocations and nesting space contracted, as well as risk of overbookings The Candidate: - Experience in the Irish group travel or hotel sales industry essential - Extensive knowledge of Ireland as a destination - Ability to work under pressure - Positive and professional communication skills - Ability to work as part of a team collaboratively and independently. - Enthusiastic and friendly personality - Willing to travel around Ireland visiting hotels (driving license is essential) Salary: up to €45000 per annum depending on experience and benefits French Selection, leading UK-based consultancy specialising in the recruitment of bilingual and multilingual professionals for international business (industries and services).
