The Opportunity: As a Freelance Site Engineer with groundworks experience, you will play a vital role in the successful delivery of the project, ensuring all works are completed accurately and efficiently. Key Responsibilities: * Set out, level, and survey the site, ensuring adherence to project specifications and design requirements * Manage, monitor, and interpret contract design documents supplied by the client and project team * Oversee the selection and requisition of materials and plant, ensuring timely delivery and cost-efficiency * Collaborate with project managers, site supervisors, and other team members to ensure smooth project delivery * Maintain accurate site records, including as-built drawings and survey data * Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, promoting a culture of safety awareness on site Qualifications&Experience: * Proven experience as a Site Engineer in groundworks or civil engineering * Knowledge of drainage, ducting, and street works * Experience working on large civils projects * Appreciation of large structures is advantageous * A relevant industry qualification (e.g. degree in civil engineering) is highly desirable * Proficiency in using surveying equipment (total stations, GPS) * Strong communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills * Familiarity with industry standards and best practices Benefits: * Competitive day rate (negotiable based on experience) * Opportunity to work on a prestigious project with a leading client in the groundworks industry * Exciting role based in
