Job description Job Title: Civil Engineer Location: Dublin Salary: €65k -€70k + benefits Overview: Sparktel are currently recruiting for a Civil Engineer to join our client based in Dublin. Our client is a leader in the Telecommunications and Networking sector. The successful candidate will report to the Contract Manager and will work on large scale road projects. Responsibilities: • Setting out, checking project progress and checking drawings / quantities for accuracy of calculations. • Attending daily meetings to communicate on projects progress with safety updates, monthly KPI reports, feedback and compliance checking. • Working closely with design, quality and safety teams involved in the projects. • Monitoring the contract design documents supplied by the client or architect, keeping an ongoing coordination between clients and representatives. • Implementing the Company Quality management system while ensuring the project is delivered safely. • Must participate in all project handover meetings. Requirements: • Level 8 Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification. • 4+ years’ Civil Engineering experience on large scale roadwork projects; road widening, junction upgrades, new bus lanes, cycleways, utility work, traffic management etc. • Setting out experience using Total Station or similar • Strong IT Skills particularly MS Project • Experience developing RAMS and risk assessments etc. • Full clean driving licence.
