The Cheniere Corpus Christi Liquefaction (CCL) Project is a Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) export facility located on the north shore of Corpus Christi Bay in Gregory, Texas. The 1,000+ acre facility started bulk early works in July 2015 as the first greenfield export facility in the United States. Bechtel has successfully and safely completed construction, and it now consists of three operating Trains with an LNG production capacity of approximately 15 million tons per year (MTPA), three LNG storage tanks with combined capacity of 480,000 cubic meters of LNG, 2 Jetty superstructures that can accommodate the world’s largest vessels, and dozens of associated buildings and utilities. Bechtel India office delivering EPC services on CCL Project from our Vadodara office in India. The Construction Engineer (CSA) will be based in our Vadodara office in Gujarat, supporting home office construction activities on the CCL Project. Responsibilities include coordinating with construction site team, conducting constructability reviews, reviewing safety in design, supporting value engineering, and providing construction input to engineering and supply chain teams to improve the Total Installed Cost (TIC). Additionally, the role involves providing inputs to maximizing modularization and preassemblies on the project, supporting the implementation of the latest construction technology, local practices to save cost and time, and offering economical design solutions. The CE will also assist with preconstruction planning and execution strategies for the project. Supervision Received Works under clearly defined guidelines and receives instructions on work from Lead Construction Coordinator on the assigned project or Chief Construction Engineer/ Construction Operations Manager/ India Office Manager of Construction.  Supervision Exercised Interface with the engineering design, supply chain and contracts, project controls & quality. Jobsite contacts are with Field Engineers/Superintendents and other support disciplines. Construction teams of sub-contractors and client representatives.   Major Responsibilities: Participates in the Constructability Program process and schedule, identifying construction related requirements to other functions. Supports 3D Model reviews, interdisciplinary coordination reviews of design drawings and ensuring design is safe, constructible, and cost effective Review Interdisciplinary deliverables from Engineering (3D Model and 2D drawings) and Supply Chain (vendor drawings), providing construction input on Constructability, Safe Construction, preassembly, modularization and TIC. Understand work breakdown structure, work packaging philosophy. Scoping and preparation of CSA Installation work packages. Monitor completeness and correctness of engineering data in construction applications. Assist engineering and project estimation teams with MTOs of temporary works, hauls roads, crane pads, working platforms and other build aids. Assists in design development and suggest economical construction details for incorporation into the design and specifications by utilizing Construction Lessons Learned from other projects and best practices Education and Experience Requirements: A recognized degree in Civil engineering or scientific discipline. Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, or 15 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree. Required Knowledge and Skills: Prior experience of Civil & Structural Field Engineer or Field Supervisor supporting direct-hire work /subcontract work on major energy or infrastructure project is required. Effective communication skills and ability to work with multiple nationalities. Thorough knowledge of all phases of construction engineering relating to Concrete, Earthworks and Structural  installation on mega projects. Experience of preparation of construction work packages is desired. Proficient in reading drawings, interpret design, specifications and industry codes & standards. Basic Rigging knowledge Prior experience with using tools and software’s related to Construction planning, proposals, execution, and monitoring is preferred.
