Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer The Senior Software QA Engineer is part of a wider QA Team who manages the testing activities that support the delivery of Cohesive solutions and associated applications within our client’s projects and businesses. Doing this well will enable our clients to unlock value and build resilience by delivering, operating, and optimizing.  The Senior Software QA Engineer is responsible for the day-to-day test activities which include writing test cases, performing manual testing, writing automated tests, and ensuring that the quality of applications and solutions delivered to our clients meets their needs. Delivering quality solutions to support Digital Twins is a key component of our service to support asset-owning clients. Researching and analysing product features being tested Documenting test cases Developing functional and non-functional testing procedures and requirements Creating test plans and test scripts Coding automated tests and identifying and raising awareness of risks arising from automated test results Testing functional and non-functional areas of an application Implementing automated testing Executing automated and manual tests Identifying any potential problems that users might encounter Reviewing user interfaces for consistency and functionality Identifying, isolating, prioritizing, and tracking bugs/defects within software Performing and documenting risk analysis Recording test progress and results Evaluating and communicating findings. What You Bring to The Team: ISTQB (International Software Testing Qualifications Board) Foundation Level or equivalent experience : ISTQB (International Software Testing Qualifications Board) Advanced/Expert Level Knowledge / Experience At Least (9 years) of commercial knowledge and experience testing software solutions Knowledge of functional and non-functional requirements and how to design appropriate tests for each Knowledge of a wide range of testing techniques Experience in the Agile Software Development Lifecycle and Behaviour-Driven Development (BDD) Experience using coding to automate testing routines e.g., using Cucumber for test automation and writing test scripts in the gherkin language Experience with Playwright or Cypress for automated UI testing Experience with JavaScript programming language Experience with Load Testing tools such as Apache JMeter Awareness of system architecture, continuous integration and deployment, and coding/ scripting languages Knowledge of Azure DevOps or a similar tool such as Jira for Test Management Ability to communicate and collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders e.g., communicating defects or trends clearly to software developers and the possible causes A problem solver who can take a business and an operational view to finding solutions to complex problems Knowledge of a range of technologies including cloud platforms, open source, and SaaS services to better enable and enhance the delivery of QAT services Experience in best practices for IT Service Management (ITIL) Good written and oral communication skills, to present findings in an accessible way  Ability to work as part of a team Experience working in a Kubernetes and Docker environment Technical knowledge and experience in one or more areas: BIM, GEO, APIs, mobile and web applications, IFC data, COBie data  Knowledge of existing and emerging digital technology and how it can add value and deliver efficiencies to existing processes and practices A great Team and culture – please see our Recruitment Video.
