Assigned to the Project PMC group to work in Electrical Engineering discipline within project groups. Has a good knowledge of Electrical System and Physical designs related to BESS projects. Accountable for the review of project plans and specifications for design accuracy, constructability, conformance to regulatory agency requirements and productivity improvement. Candidate should have exposure to Indian, US, Euro and other codes/standards and local practices. This position requires coordination activities with Design Consultant Package Managers to ensure the electrical design packages are completed per the schedule. Work location will in India office – Mumbai. Major Responsibilities: Prepares or assists in preparation of conceptual studies, designs, reports or proposals. Evaluates, selects, and applies standard electrical engineering methods, techniques, procedures and criteria to prepare/review conceptual Studies, Systems study, Design criteria, Equipment Sizing calculations, layout engineering. Designs, develops, modifies, and evaluates components and processes used in the generation, manipulation, transmission and storage of electricity utilizing relevant Engineering Department Procedures (EDPs), design standards and guides, and Bechtel Standard Application Programs (BSAPs) Coordinates engineering efforts in assigned areas with specialty groups, engineering disciplines, the client, vendor, contractors, construction and other functional groups. Provides technical assistance and interact with project functions, the customer, and regulatory agency personnel in the resolution of complex regulatory issues. Provides assistance to project and construction management in identifying and complying with project electrical requirements and in addressing issues as they arise during project execution. Education and Experience Requirements: Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and minimum 15 years of relevant experience. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Electrical design of battery-based energy storage. Battery and Inverter Sizing. Be aware and develop expertise in central aspects and main characteristics of current battery technologies and relate them to battery parameters. Techno-commercial analysis of various technologies. BESS modeling in ETAP and system studies for Renewable energy system using BESS and deployment of BESS. FAT and integration test plan for BESS systems. Technical review of documents provided by vendors. Previous experience as PMC is desirable. Knowledge of engineering work planning and control methods. Knowledge of related construction practices and the economics involved. Skill in oral and written communication, demonstrated skill in leadership.
