We have a highly technical and innovative team which is dedicated to driving growth for Colgate Palmolive in this constantly evolving landscape. We support all team members in achieving their best.  What role will you play as a member of the Colgate’s Information Technology team - We are seeking a skilled and expert SAP Basis Administrator / Database Administrator to join our team ! The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and improving our technical infrastructure and ensuring the smooth functioning of all SAP and non-SAP systems and various databases within Colgate’s architecture. Key responsibilities include: Maintain peak performance and reliability of the production environment. Handle and solve performance issues in SAP systems and databases proactively. Perform system upgrades, including migrations and new installations of SAP systems. Conduct add-on component upgrades, database patching, and migrations. Perform system refreshes, backups, restores, and build / maintain high availability (HA) infrastructure. Ensure the highest performance and reliability of our extensive production environment and resolve SAP and database related issues proactively. Perform system upgrades, including installations, add-on and patch upgrades. Implement end-to-end system refreshes and database restores. Set up transport routes and optionally, Solman ChARM. Conduct patch updates, kernel upgrades, system upgrades, and handle backups/restores. Perform database release upgrades and support pack upgrades. Install various SAP systems (S/4, R/3, APO/SCM, BW, PI, Java/Portals, MDM, etc.) and bring proficiency in at least one SAP product. Language pack installations, SAP certificate installations. Good hands-on knowledge in at least one database (DB2, HANA, MaxDB, SQL). Installations, patch upgrades, release upgrades, and disaster recovery setups. Prepare and maintain user documentation for project and support work. You connect the dots - Identify and handle dependencies between SAP systems, other software systems, teams, and underlying infrastructure. Solve complex issues by relating them to simultaneous system changes and interdependencies. Are a collaborator - Excel in communication to collaborate closely with different teams, team members and partners. Work closely with project teams, global IT infrastructure organizations, end-users, and vendors to implement and support technology changes. Bring strong innovative thinking to suggest and implement new solutions. Find opportunities for system improvements and process optimizations. Develop a culture of innovation within the team and across projects. What you’ll need…(Required) Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field. Over 4 years of hands-on BASIS experience, with at least 2 years in core BASIS production support across SAP products. Experience with at least one database (DB2, HANA, MaxDB, SQL). Hands-on experience with UNIX, Linux, and/or Windows operating systems. Good communication and collaboration skills. What you’ll need…(Preferred): Proficiency in SAP application and /or database performance tuning. Familiarity with automation tools and scripting languages such as Python, UiPath, PowerShell, or Bash. Certifications in SAP Basis Administration and HANA Administration. Experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes). Ability to document, install, and handle setups across diverse environments, including shift hours and on-call availability.
